Premade Lash Anime Spikes and How To Apply Them Correctly

Premade Lash Anime Spikes are just one of the many trends that’s taken centre stage in the world of lash extensions.. You’ve probably seen them all over TikTok and Instagram: bold, wispy, doll-like lashes that mimic the wide-eyed look of anime cartoon characters. But what actually makes anime spikes different from traditional lash spikes? And how do you apply them for the perfect set?

Let’s break it down.

What are Premade Anime Lash Spikes?

Anime spikes are individual lashes that are either stagged and tapered to form a point, or bonded together at the tip. Each spike is strategically placed across the lash line to create an animated effect. Think: thicker, more spaced-out spikes with a super crisp or feathered point. They're often paired with shorter, closed or open fans in between to add texture and depth - giving you that contrasty, exaggerated anime look.

Anime Wispy VS Anime Spikey:

Just like most, anime lashes aren’t a "one-size-fits-all" sort of thing, and depending on your client’s vibe, you’ve got options! The Wispy Anime Spike or the Spikey Anime - both give that signature open-eye, cartoon look, but they’re built very differently.

1. The Wisy Anime Spike

These are textured, fluffy, and ultra-layered. Wispy Anime lashes are made by stacking lashes side by side in a staggered height formation to form a point, with shorter lashes on either side for added texture and volume.

Key Features:
  • Staggered lash lengths to build soft tapered point
  • Textured look with lashes on both sides for extra texture
  • Thin, flat bases for long-lasting bondage
  • Apply 20 spikes per eye

Best For:
  • Wispy doll-eye sets
  • 30 Minute Touch Ups & 1 -2 Week Infills
  • Artists who want to build in texture and dimension

3. Spikey Anime

These lashes are bold, crisp, and ultra-defined. Each spike is made from lashes that are strategically bonded into a point. The surrounding lashes are shorter and finer, which makes the spikes pop and helps to create effortless texture. The Spikey Anime is best paired with shorter, fluffier or closed fans to fill out any sparse areas.
Key Features:
  • Tapered shape with a defined tip
  • Crisp and bold lash structure
  • Thin, flat bases for long-lasting bondage.
  • Apply 10-20 per eye

Best For:
  • Graphic, doll-eye sets
  • Clients who love a dramatic, structured lash
  • 30 Minute Touch Ups & 2-3 Week Infills

How to Apply Anime Spikes Correctly.

Whether you’re using Premade Wispy Anime Lashes or Spikey Anime spikes, the application process is similar, but the structure of each lash type changes your approach slightly.

Make sure you treat the applicaition process the same as you would a classic or promade lash! Focus in on how far you're dipping up the lash shaft - perfect dipping = perfect retention. Make sure you adjust your wrist to and angles to apply the spike flush in the curviture of the natural lash. And, of course - give them a little wiggle and shimmy to "wrap" them around the hair shaft.

For Premade Wispy Lash Anime:
  1. Make sure all lashes are removed and you're working with a clean surface
  2. Draw out lines to pre-map your set with even spacing
  3. Apply 20 pikes per eye

For Premade Spikey Lash Anime:
  1. Can be worked into an infill, if not - start from clean surface
  2. Place evenly across the lash line - longer in the centre for that open, doll-eye look
  3. Fill in with shorter, narrow or fluffy fans to add texture
